Teaching primary
Primary teachers work with children between the ages
of three and eleven and teach all of the subjects in the national
curriculum.
Primary school teachers are expected to
demonstrate a sound, basic knowledge of all the subjects in the
curriculum for key stages 1 and 2. A degree is required, though not in a
specialised subject.
